Surrender to the Flow
Many people who could benefit tremendously from a spiritual retreat are hesitant. In their minds they have always believed that people should be able to handle any obstacle life throws at them, and only the weak have to ask for help. The truth is by acknowledging that part of ourselves which yearns to grow and heal, we make a commitment to move forward.
A lot of clients we see express that they feel "stuck" or "lost". This is always an indication that something needs to shift in their lives. It is a feeling that pushes them to seek a spiritual retreat. In the end, these feelings serve them and propel them forward toward gaining a deeper sense of self.
When we are in alignment with who we really are, there is a feeling of "flow" and serenity. There is a feeling of peace and joy. There is a feeling of surrender and trust. It is when we feel that we are alone and have no direction that we experience being lost and empty. This sometimes manifests itself as a need to control. Fear arises so we make more of an effort to make it happen or figure it out. A lot of energy is expended and in the end, we feel exhausted.
SpiritQuest retreats dissipate the fear and bring people back into their centers. Clients find a support network to help clear the stagnant energy and to re-connect them to their higher selves. The element of trust is invited back into their lives. When we surrender and trust that we are never alone, we can be more present and enjoy every moment instead of letting life pass us by.
