Do we really need a devil to explain the dysfunction in the world?  My path has led me to become a spiritual teacher and guide.  As a result of working with SpiritQuest retreat clients, I have concluded that there is no cosmic battle going on between good and evil.  The only battle going on is in our hearts.  It is a battle between the side that want to dominate others, and the side that wants to be loved and accepted.  So we have to choose what we really want, and the question has nothing to do with money.  Do you want to be loved and accepted... or do you want to dominate and control other people?  You can have one or the other, but you can never have both.

I've also come to understand that the ultimate truth of what it takes to be happy is so profound it can only be explained in this paradox: if you surrender to unconditional love and selflessness, while at the same time maintaining the integrity of who you are (which is a pretty tough trick), what you get is total freedom.  A freedom far more liberating and joyful than anything that can be defended by governments or purchased at the mall.  And that's the paradox... in order to be totally free and happy, you must first surrender.

When the power of love is greater than the love of power, who knows what the human race might achieve?
